Digital cameras getting holiday focus "Twenty five percent are shopping for DVD players. But the market is nearly saturated with DVD players - 70 percent of U.S. households now own one, while only 39 percent own a digital camera. - Consumers paid $649 for a 1.5-megapixel Canon PowerShot digital camera in 1999, for example. This fall the average price for a 3-megapixel camera was $207, according to the NPD Group in Port Washington, N.Y.
