Forbes.com: Japan's Pentax to make key digital camera parts via Chinese joint venture - report: "TOKYO (AFX) - Pentax Corp plans to start manufacturing core digital camera components around January through its Chinese joint venture with BASO Precision Optics Ltd of Taiwan, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported, without citing sources. The operation is expected to produce camera modules, some of which will be shipped to Pentax's digital camera factory in the Philippines and the rest will be sold to third parties."
