I recently reviewed the Mecury CyberPix S-330 which I purchased from Microland Technology, the camera was faulty (it would reset sometimes when taking pictures with flash), so I sent the product back to Microland Technology for a refund - 2 months later and I am STILL waiting for a refund and have had to get Trading Standards involved! According to this page, there are MANY many more people still waiting for refunds of hundreds of pounds! Romulus 2 : Microland Technology UK - User Reviews & Ratings - in fact if you do a Google search, you will find many more horror stories of BAD service from Microland Technology.
Fuji FinePix S7000 Digital Camera Review @ digitalcamerainfo.com "The Fuji FinePix S7000 is a chameleon of sorts and can mold itself into (almost) anything you want it to be. Falling into the SLR-like category this digital camera has many of the same features as an SLR – body size and shape, manual control options, and physical features, while also having the ability to “dumb down” to point-and-shoot level."
Digital Camera Equipment - Canon Digital Ixus 430: "The 430's performance is lacking in many respects for a camera that will set you back 350GBP - you'd expect much more. Overall image quality is lacking with poor tonal range, edge sharpness, oversaturation of colour and contrast. On the plus side, it looks good, feels durable and has a long battery life."
Digital Camera Equipment - Centon DC5: "The Centon DC5 looks good, handles well and has lots of features... but it disappoints with its rough image quality and poor colour. Don't be swayed by all those cheap extra megapixels. Go for a mainstream three or four megapixel camera and you'll be much happier with the images you produce." This is the same camera as the Benq DC C50 that I reviewed here.
Digital Camera Equipment - Samsung Digimax 301: "For 100GBP you can't go too wrong, though the lack of optical zoom and washed-out skin are big niggles. Also consider the FujiFilm A205, which has a 3x optical zoom but one less megapixel. Stump up another 50-70GBP, and there's a wider choice, including the Konica Minolta DiMAGE Xg and the Olympus C-350 Zoom." Or you could try the Pentax 33LF at amazon.co.uk for 99GBP.
Digital Camera Equipment - Kodak EasyShare LS743 "Enjoying digital photography is easy with the effortless yet innovative, compact yet sophisticated, LS743. German optics, an intuitive interface and a decent resolution round off a polished product. It competes in a crowded sector but if Kodak continues like this, it will become a formidable brand once more."
Kodak Easyshare CX7330 Digital @ digitalcamerainfo.com: "The Kodak EasyShare CX7330 is a point-and-shooters dream. It is hands down one of the best cameras on the market for users who don't want to think about anything. Its simple design brings to mind a toy, but its image quality isn't a joke."

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-V3 and preview: Digital Photography Review "With its 7.2 megapixels and a Carl Zeiss® Vario-Sonnar® lens with 4x optical zoom, Sony’s new Cyber-shot DSC-V3 digital still camera puts outstanding image quality, sophisticated controls and a compact ergonomic design in the hands of photo enthusiasts. It will be available in late October for about $700."
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T3: Digital Photography Review "Thin, fast and good-looking describe Sony’s new 5.1 megapixel Cyber-shot DSC-T3 digital camera, announced today. The pocket-size T3 camera is Sony’s thinnest digital camera to date, measuring in at less than three-quarters of an inch. And due to Sony’s Real Imaging Processor™ circuit, this new model is lightning fast. It shoots bursts of up to four full-resolution images at three frames per second."
PhotographyBLOG -:- Reviews -:- Olympus Camedia C-5060 Zoom: "First announced in September last year, the 5 megapixel C-5060 Zoom is currently the second most advanced compact camera in the Olympus lineup, behind the 8 megapixel C-8080 Zoom. Probably it's main attraction is the 27-110mm lens, which opens up wide-angle photography again in a marketplace dominated by cameras with lenses that start at 35mm."
The new Yakumo Mega-Image 84 D 4mp, 8x Optical zoom, RRP 249 EUROS! (£167GBP at current exchange rates) (found via PhotographyBLOG), is a Silver version of the Praktica Luxmedia 4008 / Megxon C480
Digital Cameras - Hewlett Packard Photosmart 945 Digital Camera Review, Information, Specifications: "If you're an 'enthusiast' photographer looking for high image quality, low image noise, and lots of control, I don't think the Photosmart 945 is for you. On the other hand, if you're a former 'point & shoot' user looking for an easy step up to the next level, the 945 could be just the ticket."

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F88 Review: 1. Introduction: Digital Photography Review: "Never shy of giving the consumer an almost bewildering array of choices, in May 2004 Sony added yet another (its fifth) 5 megapixel, 3x zoom camera, the DSC-F88 to its 2004 range. Seasoned Sony watchers will immediately recognize the inner swivel lens design, which has made several appearances in Sony's product lineup since the DSC-F1 back in 1996."
Nikon Coolpix 5200 Review: 1. Introduction: Digital Photography Review: "Announced in February 2004 (alongside an otherwise identical 4MP camera, the Coolpix 4200), the Coolpix 5200 represents the latest in a long line of ever-smaller Nikon compact cameras that stretches all the way back to the late 1990's"
Canon Powershot S410 Digital Camera Review "The Canon PowerShot has a 1/1.8-inch, 4 Megapixel CCD and retails for US$399. As a still digital camera with hybrid capability, the Canon PowerShot S410 records video at 10 frames per second with simultaneous audio. It has a 3x optical zoom with an additional 3.6x digital boost when necessary." Also known as the Digital Ixus 430 in the UK/Europe.
Olympus Camedia C-765 Review: "Currently the worlds smallest digital camera with a 10x Optical Zoom - This is a 4MP digital camera with a 10x Optical zoom (6.3-63mm 1:2.8 - 3.7 equivelant to 38 - 380mm on a 35mm camera), the camera comes with a 16mb XD card and a rechargable litium-ion battery."
Pentax Optio MX Digital Camera Review @ Imaging-Resource: "Those wanting a hybrid digital still and video camera with a satisfying zoom and no costly digital video tapes to mess with may want to consider the Optio MX. With an available 120 minutes of continuous movie and sound recording time (depending on resolution, memory space, etc.), the Optio MX operates as both a digital still camera and a digital video camera.
megapixel.net: "Although the new 6 megapixel EX-P600 carries the name Exilim, which is associated with Casio's very thin cameras, it is a bit more substantial in terms of its dimensions than others in that well-known series.
Casio Exilim Card EX-S100 - Digital Photography Review World's smallest 2.8x Optical zoom camera in the world (17mm thick). Casio QV-R61 6mp/3x Opt version of QV-R50 etc. Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z50 and Exilim Zoom EX-Z55 5mp, 2" TFT (Z50), 2.5" TFT (Z55). Casio Exilim Pro EX-P700, 7mp/3x Opt version of P600.
"The Fujifilm FinePix S7000 Zoom is intuitive to use, and it is easy to obtain great images in Programmed Auto mode. With 6x optical zoom, 6.3MP resolution, full exposure flexibility, and beautiful colour reproduction, the S7000 provides an easy-to-use entry into the prosumer category. The all-black body looks very professional as well as being unobstrusive. Construction is high-quality and handling and feel is superb." Full review at photoxels
"PENTAX OptioS5i – a stylish, ultra-compact and lightweight digital camera featuring 5.0 effective megapixels and 3X optical zoom" Details at dpreview.com.
"A true innovation in design, the PENTAX OptioX is a compact digital camera with a body divided into two for more than twice the versatility." Canon PowerShot A400 Review @ e-Fotografija (in english) "A400 has 2.2x zoom lens. Focal range is from 5.9mm (45mm) to 13.2mm (100mm). This means that we are limited at the wide angle and might have some troubles photographing in small rooms. There is also 3.2x digital zoom. Maximum aperture is fixed 1:3.8 at all focus distances."
Canon EOS 20D Review Part Two "The Canon 20D deliver first rate image quality. Clearly superior to those from the 10D in several aspects. All of those that stood on their soapboxes prior to the 20D's launch pontificating on how higher pixel count sensors of the same size simply couldn't have as low noise, let alone lower noise, can now go to the back of the class."
DCRP Review - Fuji FinePix F440 "The Fuji FinePix F440 ($399) is a compact 4.1 Megapixel camera that packs just a bit more zoom than other cameras in its class: 3.4X. The F440 has a traditional CCD sensor, rather than the SuperCCD that Fuji has been putting in their cameras over the last few years. The 3.4X zoom lens isn't the only larger-than-average item on the camera: there's also the 2.0" LCD display."
Fujifilm Finepix F420 Review - PhotographyBLOG: "The FujiFilm FinePix F420 is by far the smallest camera that I have ever reviewed, measuring just 7.7cm wide and 6.9 cm high." 3mp, 3x Optical zoom.

There's a black version and more info here.

The DiMAGE G400 offers 4.0 megapixels, a 3x optical zoom lens, and a very compact, all-metal body with a fully retracting lens, perfect for travel."

Both cameras feature a Fujinon 3.2x wide-angle (28mm-91mm equivalent) optical zoom, which can be enhanced with optional 1.94x telephoto or 0.76x wide-angle lens adapters. A large, 2.0-inch LCD screen makes viewing and sharing captured images easier, while the ergonomic design and non-slip grip provide sure and steady handling."

The aluminium alloy-bodied classic-look camera has 10 shooting modes and full manual operation."

Canon PowerShot S1 IS Review: 1. Introduction: Digital Photography Review "Announced in February 2004, the PowerShot S1 IS is the long overdue successor to Canon's last 10x Zoom Image Stabilized compact, (the PowerShot Pro90 IS). It is not only much smaller and lighter, but a lot less expensive - (hardly surprising given the three year gap). Despite the aggressive pricing (the S1 IS is available online for as little as $315) this is a highly specified camera with a feature set that doesn't fall that far short of 'prosumer' models such as the G5 or even the Pro 1."

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
What Size Memory Card Should I buy, and how many photos will fit on my card?
Memory card prices are regularly coming down in price, but if you'd like some extra help in deciding what size to buy, and would like to know how many photos you'll fit on your card, then have a look at this article
I can't get the photos off my camera, I've lost my driver CD, I've had to re-install Windows, I've lost my camera's cable, how can I get my photos on my computer now?
One of the simplest and easiest ways of dealing with this problem is to buy a USB multi-card memory card reader, simply make sure it supports your type of memory card, plug it into a USB socket, and away you go. Depending on which version of Windows you have, you may not need to load any drivers. Plus you can move it from PC to PC, and use it with future cameras you have.
Can you help me decide which camera I should buy? Which one is better, camera A, or camera B?
Because everybody's needs are different, some people may be more interested in one feature over another, I can't always tell you which camera you should buy. Especially if I haven't reviewed the camera myself. In order to help you choose, I've written this guide on "How to choose a good digital camera - Try before you Buy"
I can't use my SD Memory card, the camera says "Card Locked", "This memory card is protected", or "Memory card
