Sri-Lanka Trip
Update: The trip to Sri-Lanka was very good - it was hard work, having breakfast at 5am, and working till 12.30pm, where it became too hot to continue working. We were building permanent buildings using bricks that were similar to breeze blocks.
My Konica Minolta Dimage G600 managed to break while I was there (the on/off switch stopped working, it appeared to be a mechanical failure), so I bought a Sony Cybershot S60/S80 whilst there - prices were quite good (at Majestic Palace?, Colombo) - although prices in the apparently "Duty Free" airport were excessively high!
I've put photos on my personal site: joshwaller.co.uk (link to sri-lanka gallery), although be warned the site can be quite slow.
Initial post: I'm going to Sri-Lanka for 2 weeks on Saturday to help rebuild houses, after the Tsunami. My brother Matt will be posting daily news while I'm away, starting Saturday. I'm not sure how much Internet access there will be there, or whether there will be any so I'll probably leave posting photos till I'm back in the UK. If you want to, you can donate towards this cause, or support this site, using paypal to: goshwa@hotmail.com
If you're in the UK, you might want to know that Amazon.co.uk are selling a DVD player for under £20 including free postage and vat! Pretty impressive!
