Rumours, Facts, and Gold!
First we’ll start with a fact: Ricoh are going to announce a new camera on the 13th of September, the digital version of the GR1, there’s also a GR Blog here (in Japanese):
“On September 13 RICOH will announce the arrival of a new Super High Imaging Quality compact digital camera. This exceptional camera will be the digital version of the well-known GR analog camera series.”

The rumour is regarding another new camera from Ricoh, the Caplio R3, with a wide angle 7x optical zoom lens (image stabilised!), 2.5″ screen, 1cm macro, available in Black or Silver. More info at Digital Photography Blog, and SeeSaa.
