Duracell PowerPix Digital Camera Batteries

Duracell PowerPixDuracell have announced new disposable batteries designed for digital cameras, using the same technology as Panasonic Oxyride batteries, they promise twice as many photos compared to Alkaline batteries.

USAToday have already tested these and compared them to other high power AA batteries, such as Panasonic Oxyride batteries, Lithium batteries, and Ni-Mh rechargable batteries. The conclusion: Lithium batteries give the longest performance, followed by Ni-Mh Rechargable batteries, with the new PowerPix and Oxyride batteries joint third.

I always recommend high power (2000+mAh) Ni-Mh rechargable batteries, as these are more cost effective in the long run, last longer, and are much better for the environment than disposable batteries.
