Nikon once again had an impressive two storey stand at the Focus on Imaging Show, and were offering the chance to win a Nikon D200 Digital SLR camera. They had all the latest digital cameras on show, including the new Nikon Coolpix S5, S6, L2, P3 and P4. Photos and details are shown below. Click image to view a larger version.
Shown above is the front and back of the new Nikon Coolpix S6 – it features a 6 megapixel sensor, a 3x optical zoom lens, a large 3″ screen, wireless support, and face-priority focus. The camera is also one of the first Coolpix cameras (along with the S5) to feature a rotary dial on the back on the camera – this is an excellent way to scroll through the photos on the camera. Scrolling through the photos in playback mode was very quick!
Shown above is the ultra compact Nikon Coolpix S5 – it features a 6 megapixel sensor, a 3x optical zoom lens and a 2.5″ screen. It too features the new rotary dial on the back, but doesn’t feature wireless support.
Shown above, left is the new “budget” Nikon Coolpix L2, a cute and fairly compact digital camera it features a 6 megapixel sensor, a 3x optical zoom lens, and a 2″ screen. On the right is the new Nikon Coolpix P3 and P4 – both cameras feature an 8 megapixel sensor, a 2.5″ screen, 11-area auto focus, aperture priority auto mode, and a 3.5x optical zoom lens with image stabilisation / vibration reduction. The P3 features wireless support, whereas the P4 doesn’t.
