Casio Exilim EX-Z1000 Review

Casio Z1000LetsGoDigital have published the first online review of the new Casio Exilim EX-Z1000. The Z1000 features a 3x optical zoom lens, a wide 2.8" screen, and a 10.1 megapixel sensor. Other features include ISO upto 3200 using the digital "Anti shake", and low-light scene modes. The camera has a VGA video modes, and takes 4:3, 3:2, and 16:9 aspect ratio photos. The camera is available for £379 in black or silver from Amazon UK:

"The optical quality of the zoom lens is superb. There is hardly any distortion, and even the chromatic aberration is barely visible. A pity, however, that Casio have failed to equip the camera with a wide-angle of 28mm. The white balance produces excellent results. The automatic white balance is able to filter the colour cast in virtually all circumstances. The result can be reviewed swiftly on the attractive 2.8 inch format LCD display. Casio have improved the monitor's angle of view, which is beneficial to one's creativity when capturing images from those "impossible" angles."
