Panasonic Lumix L1 - Behind the Scenes

Panasonic Lumix L1 DSLRPanasonic have published information on the design and mechanial aspects of the new Panasonic Lumix L1 Digital SLR, the 7.5 megapixel Panasonic Lumix L1 digital SLR uses the Four Thirds standard and features a live view screen at the back, as well as a dust reduction system, a 28-100mm equivalent Leica lens with Panasonic's Mega Optical Image Stabilisation, and manual aperture ring. The following quote is from the article, and explains Leica's strong involvement in the Digital SLR:

"We learned many things from Leica in addition to their unwavering commitment to optical performance. For the development of the L1, Leica was involved mainly in the basic design, product testing, quality control at the factory, and assessment and certification in each development stage.
