Polaroid PDC 5080 Review at PC Mag
PC World hve reviewed the 5 megapixel Polaroid PDC 5080 - a budget, $90 digital camera with no optical zoom lens, a 1.5" screen and 16mb of memory, the tests show that megapixels aren't everything:
"None of these specs meant much when I ran the camera through our usual tests. The resolution on the PDC 5080 averaged an awful 725 lines, far below the acceptable range for a 5.1MP camera, 1,200 to 1,500 lines. The camera's performance was equally dreadful. It had a recycle time of more than 11 seconds between flash shots, one of the worst I've ever seen. And although the boot-up time was decent, at 3.8 seconds, there was significant shutter lag. Not surprisingly, there was some distortion in the lens as well, although I had expected worse." (via Engadget)
