Samsung Digimax L55W Wide-Screen

Well, my Sony Cybershot DSC-L1 broke (the lens cover wouldn’t open), so I decided I needed a fairly compact digital camera that I could take everywhere. I thought the Samsung Digimax L55W would be worth trying mainly because it’s the cheapest digital camera with a 2.8″ wide LCD screen in 16:9 aspect ratio – in fact it was the only one until the Casio Z1000 was announced.

It takes photos in the 16:9 aspect ratio, as shown above, and has a wide-angle (28mm) 4.8x optical zoom lens, so despite it’s small size it still has better than average zoom. Expect a review to be published after I’ve reviewed all the other digital cameras I’ve currently got to review!
