Pentax K100D DSLRLuminous-Landscape have reviewed a new 6 megapixel digital SLR, the Pentax K100D, it features a built in anti-shake CCD sensor, as found on the Konica Minolta Maxxum Dynax 5D and 7D (and the new Sony A100), this allows any lens used on the Digital SLR to benefit from anti-shake, allowing blur free low light or long zoom photos. The camera features a 2.5″ screen, more details below:

“So the upshot of my brief experience with the camera, and my appraisal of its situation in the current market, is that it tags along behind the Canikon category leaders offering – quite fairly – less for less, but, when called upon to compete head-to-head, it slaps its only direct competitor, the D50, smartly upside the head with its bargain anti-shake.”

HP Photosmart R967Toms Hardware have reviewed the new 10 megapixel HP Photosmart R967 – it features a 3x optical zoom lens and a 3″ screen, all in a compact metal body. The camera is available for £242 from Amazon UK:

“First, it sports some big numbers – 10 megapixels, a 3″ (diagonal) screen and at its highest resolution, an effective resolution of 3664 X 2752 pixels. The three-inch screen is very impressive. Not only does the large size make it easier to frame your shots, but you just can’t beat it for reviewing your photos. As we shot some of our test photos at sunset, neighbours gathered around to see the results. The 3″ screen drew accolades from all who watched our sample shots using the built-in slide show viewer. It makes the 2″ screen on our DSLR seem tiny in comparison.”
