Digital Manipulation Kills Photography

Elliot Erwitt, a famous photographer who uses a film Leica (featured in today's Sunday Times Magazine) believes that digital manipulation through the likes of Adobe Photoshop kills photography. Elliot is not alone, as other famous photographers, such as David Hockney have stated similar opinions. What are your views on digital manipulation, are you a purist, or do you seek more artistic interpretations of life?
