Ricoh RR660Think Camera and Computer Active have reviewed the new Ricoh Caplio RR660 – a budget 6 megapixel digital camera that features a 2.4″ screen, a 3x optical zoom lens, takes AA batteries, and is available for around £129. The compact camera measures 87 x 25.5 x 60 mm and weighs 130g, has 16mb of internal memory, and takes SD memory cards. It appears very similar to the Pentax Optio E10, and 5 megapixel Ricoh Caplio RR530 that I reviewed previously.

“In the right conditions, the Ricoh Caplio rr660 is capable of decent snapshots. Give it bright light and a scene without too much tonal range and the 6 million pixel sensor will give you some nice pictures which will easily enlarge to A4 – possibly larger. If you intend to take pictures in sunny climes, perhaps memories of a beach holiday, then the rr660 will serve you well.”
