X-Loupe make an add-on lens for Canon Digital IXUS cameras to give you excellent microscopic zoom:

The X-Loupe attaches to a Canon Digital IXUS / Digital Elph camera to provide microscope magnification of upto 150x. The X-Loupe is available for $1450 with three lenses (60x, 100x and 150x) and a Canon IXUS 65 camera is included. (via gizmag and Engadget)
