Tekom GX652
Tekom (who?) were demonstrating their digital cameras at Photokina – the GX652 being the most interesting as it features a built in GPS tracker to enable recording of location when taking photos. The camera appears very similar to all the other 4.8x optical zoom lens cameras (such as the Ricoh R1v, Samsung L55W, Praktica Luxmedia 6105, Megxon Z6, etc) and features a 6 megapixel sensor, a 3″ screen, and MPEG4 video at 720 x 480 at 30 fps.

Olympus Master 3D
Olympus were demonstrating Olympus Master 3D – software that allows you to create 3D versions of your photos. On display were several 3D images, and all that was needed to view them were 3D glasses where one eye is blue and the other red.

Olympus SP-510UZ Accessories
Olympus were showing their new Olympus SP-510 Ultra Zoom digital camera (announced last month, it features a 7.1 megapixel sensor, a 10x optical zoom lens, a 2.5″ screen and full manual controls) with additional lenses available: 1.7x telephoto convertor (attached right, making the camera’s 10x optical zoom into a 17x optical zoom lens), a macro lens (attached middle), and a 0.7x wide angle convertor lens (bottom left, produces a 26.6mm wide-angle equivalent in 35mm terms). Full details on these accessories can be found on the Olympus Website.

Casio Exilim EX-S770 Front
Casio were demonstrating their current line up of compact stylish digital cameras, there most recent, the ultra-slim Casio Exilim EX-S770, features a 7 megapixel sensor, a 2.8″ 16:9 widescreen TFT, MPEG4 video at 16:9 aspect ratio, and a new feature that lets you store documents such as powerpoint presentations, directions, etc on the camera, so that you can view them later, or alternatively use the camera as a slide-show presentation when hooked up to a projector! You simply press the “Data” button on the back of the camera to access this feature…
