Showing that Kodak aren’t the only company that has considered producing dual lens digital cameras, Pentax were showing their “Pentax Twinz” digital camera concept, the ultra compact digital camera features two lenses and the text: “Pentax Twin Zoom Lens Optical 4x Wide Zoom”. There were also showing an ultra compact digital camera with interchangable lenses, shown below.

Pentax were showing their new 10 megapixel Pentax K10D Digital SLR – shown here with the new 70mm “Pancake” lens. The digital SLR is one of the most fully featured DSLR’s out of all the new 10 megapixel models, featured both a “Shake Reduction” CCD sensor that works with all lenses, and a weather sealed body. It also feels the heaviest out of the new 10 megapixel cameras.

Hasselblad have announced the new H3D – it offers a choice of 22 or 39 megapixel images, the new camera was being demonstrated at Photokina:

The H3D has been developed around a brand new digital camera engine producing increased lens performance and a new level of image sharpness. Parktica were showing their top of the range 10 megapixel digital camera in Gold – the camera features a 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.4″ screen and appears to be identical to the Polaroid i1032 (apart from the Gold obviously!).

Minox were showing their new Leica M3 replica, with built in 1.5″ screen, the camera features a 3 megapixel CMOS sensor and interpolates the image to 5 megapixels. Unfortunately the battery went flat the moment we got to the display.

Olympus were showing their fully working “prototype” wooden digital camera – the model appeared to use the same 2x optical zoom lens as featured in the 5 megapixel Olympus Mju / Stylus Mini S. The camera can be made in different colours and featured a sliding on-off switch on the front.
