Olympus SP-510 Ultra Zoom Review at IR

Imaging Resource have reviewed the new Olympus SP-510UZ - a 7.1 megapixel update to the Olympus SP-500UZ reviewed here. It features a silver body, a 10x optical zoom lens, and a 2.5" screen. It features new high ISO modes, a feature that was lacking in the SP-500, the ISO range is ISO50 upto ISO1600 at 7.1 megapixels, and upto ISO2500 / ISO4000 at 3mp. This should help avoid image shake when using the camera in low light or at the longer end of the zoom. Battery life if also improved. The camera is available for only £169 from Amazon

"Though long-time users of Olympus cameras might be more forgiving of some of the quirks on the Olympus SP-510 UZ, I struggled with this camera when shooting in anything but the most ideal of circumstances. While this 7 megapixel camera offers light sensitivity settings of up to ISO 4,000, image resolution drops to 3 megapixels when shooing at ISO 2,500 and above."
