Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 Announced

Sony have announced the new Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 - a compact 7 megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.5" screen, ISO upto 1000, VGA video mode at 30fps, 2cm macro mode, 380 shot battery life, and 56mb internal memory. The camera is 22.9 mm thick with an aluminium casing and should be available late Febuary:

Setting the user-friendly Mode Dial to High Sensitivity (REI)* mode boosts the maximum sensitivity of both cameras to ISO 1000: this makes it easier to grab blur-free pictures, even when you’re shooting indoors without flash or in low light conditions. Sony Clear RAW NR noise reduction algorithm suppresses picture noise at highest sensitivity settings for clearer, more natural images."
