Sony Cybershot S650 S700 Announced

Sony have announced the new Sony Cybershot DSC-S650 and DSC-S700 - both cameras feature a 3x optical zoom lens, a 7 megapixel sensor, and a 2" or 2.4" screen, and feature in the budget range of Sony digital cameras. The S650 should be available in the UK in Febuary.

"The affordable S650 packs superb imaging and handy features into a compact, easy to use package. Picture quality is assured thanks to the 1/2.5-inch Super HAD CCD sensor with a resolution of 7.2 effective mega pixels. Distant scenes can be pulled in closer with the bright, clear Sony 3x optical zoom lens that also offers a 6x digital zoom capability and up to 14 x smart zoom. The Cyber-shot S650 will be available in the UK from mid February 2007."
