Fujifilm FinePix F40

Announced in January – the Fujifilm FinePix F40fd is currently the highest resolution F series camera with an 8 megapixel Super CCD sensor and is an update to the FinePix F30 reviewed here. It also features manual controls, a 3x optical zoom lens, an 8.3 megapixel Super CCD sensor with ISO upto 2000, a 2.5″ screen, face-detection focus, VGA video recording, and a first for Fujifilm cameras, a the F40fd has a dual memory card slot, accepting both XD and SD memory cards. The camera battery life is rated at 300 shots and the camera will be available from March.

  2. This is not an upgrade to f30. You can say that f40 is an upgrade to f20 … but clearly not for f30

  4. Agreed – see my full review of the < HREF="http://www.digicamreview.co.uk/fujifilm_finepix_f40fd_review.htm" REL="nofollow">F40fd<>, as it should clarify the differences. The F40fd is only really an upgrade in megapixels compared to the F30/F30fd, but the review goes into the full details and differences.
