Fuji F20ePhotoZine have reviewed the new Fujifilm FinePix F20 – a 6 megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom lens, ISO upto 2000, a 2.5″ screen, 300 shot battery life, and (digital) picture stabilisation. It appears to be a slightly cut down version of the Fujifilm FinePix F30. The Fujifilm FinePix F20 is available for £95 from Amazon UK, or £79 from Argos, making it an excellent budget digital camera:

“For a budget price camera, the Fuji F20 scored well on all accounts. Images are clear, retaining good detail, and, with the exception of the blues, the rendition of colours in the colour chart test were impressively accurate. The build of the camera is good and the design is stylish, not at all what you would expect from a lower-priced camera.”

Pentax Optio T30Trusted Reviews have reviewed the new Pentax Optio T30 – a new 7 megapixel digital camera from Pentax’s stylish slim range, it features a 3x optical zoom lens, a 3″ touch screen, face detection focus, and a 30fps VGA video mode. The Optio T30 is available for £148 from Amazon:

“Picture quality also seems to be significantly improved over the rather disappointing performance of the T20, although it is still not entirely problem-free. The T30 has a maximum ISO setting of 3200, and produces good results at settings up to 400 ISO, and printable results as high as 1600, which is a pretty creditable performance by any standard.”

Fujifilm FinePix Z5Pocket Lint have reviewed the new Fujifilm FinePix Z5fd – an update to the 5 megapixel FinePix Z3 – the Z5fd features a 6.3 megapixel Super CCD sensor with ISO upto 1600, built in face-detection, intelligent flash feature, a 3x optical zoom lens, VGA video at 30fps with sound, and a 2.5″ screen. “The Fuji Z5fd provides the sort of image quality that other digital compacts with higher resolution sensors can only dream of. The good lens performance also helps and while this is, strictly speaking, a trendy, nice-looking snapping camera, probably to be found in clubs or pubs, it deserves a wider audience but particularly for those looking for a simple to use, ultra-compact digital camera that takes excellent pictures.”
