Sony Alpha A700 Digital SLR Review
The Online Photographer have reviewed the new 12 megapixel Sony Alpha A700 Digital SLR - it's the second model released by Sony, after the A100 was released after the take-over of the Konica Minolta digital SLR division, and as such is the new version of the 7D. The A700 features a 12.2 megapixel CMOS sensor, alpha lens mount, a weather resistant body, super steady shot (anti-shake sensor), dust reduction system, 5fps, 11 point focus, 3" screen, and dynamic range optimiser.
"The upshot for now is that I've been shooting for about three weeks and I am very happy with this next step in digital imagemaking, although I still miss the traditional 4x5 negative and printing from it. Of course I don't miss the brown fingernails and smelling like fixer all the time."
