Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 Review

Photography BLOG have reviewed the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 - an update to the FZ8, the FZ18 is an ultra zoom digital camera featuring a massive Leica wide-angle 18x optical zoom lens, with the same zoom range as the Olympus SP-550UZ, the FZ18 has an 8 megapixel sensor, a 2.5" screen, new "Intelligent Auto mode", and ISO upto 1600. It is available for £265:

"The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 also allows you to shoot RAW files should you wish to do so, something that many super-zooms fail to offer alongside JPEG, so its features can't really be faulted. Plus, unless going for a particular mood whereby you'll want to override settings, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18's 'auto everything' Intelligent Auto Mode arguably produces results as good as, if not better, than most of us could achieve via hands-on adjustment."
