Nikon D60Nikon have announced the new Nikon D60 Digital SLR – an update to the D40x – it features a new dust reduction system, Eye-Sensor, a 10 megapixel sensor, 3fps shooting, takes SD cards, 520 shots battery life, 2.5″ screen, however still has the same limitations, in that it doesn’t feature exposure braketing, and requires AF-S and AF-I NIKKOR lenses:

Nikon L18Nikon have announced the new 8 megapixel Nikon Coolpix L18 – it’s part of their “Life” range – it features a 3x optical zoom lens, a 3″ screen, and is available in Silver or Black.

Nikon L16Nikon have announced the new 7 megapixel Nikon Coolpix L16 – it’s part of their “Life” range – it features a 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.8″ screen, and is available in Silver or Black.

Nikon P60Nikon have announced the new 8 megapixel Nikon Coolpix P60 – it’s part of their “Performance” range – it features a 5x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilisation, a 2.5″ screen, and is available in Black.

Nikon S600Nikon have announced the new 10 megapixel Nikon Coolpix S600 – it’s part of their “Style” range – it features a wide angle 4x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilisation, a 2.7″ screen, and is available in Titanium Silver and Urban Black.

Nikon S520Nikon have announced the new 8 megapixel Nikon Coolpix S520 – it’s part of their “Style” range – it features a 3x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilisation, a 2.5″ screen, and is available in Light Bronze, Urban Black and purple.

Nikon S210Nikon have announced the new 8 megapixel Nikon Coolpix S210 – it’s part of their “Style” range – it features a 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.5″ screen, and is available in Bright Silver, Urban Black, blue, pink (Sakura) and red.

Fujifilm FinePix F40fdAmazon are selling the 8.3 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix F40fd (aka F45fd) for only £99 – it features a 3x optical zoom lens, an 8.3 megapixel Super CCD sensor with ISO upto 2000, a 2.5″ screen, face-detection focus, VGA video recording, and a first for Fujifilm cameras, a the F40fd has a dual memory card slot, accepting both XD and SD memory cards. The camera battery life is rated at 300 shots and the camera is available for £99 from Amazon. You can also get the Canon Powershot A460 for only £69 with a free case and 1GB SD card.

Fuji S100fs

Fuji have announced the new Fujifilm FinePix S100FS – an update to the S9600 / S9100 – the FS stands for Film Simulation. The camera features a wide angle 14.3x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilisation and 28mm-400mm equivalent range, an 11 megapixel sensor, a 2.5″ tilt screen, ISO upto 6400 (at 6mp), extended dynamic range, RAW support, multi-bracketing, manual controls, and VGA 30fps video mode. The camera will be available from March:
