Canon Powershot A470 Announced

Canon have announced the new Canon Powershot A470 - it features a 7 megapixel sensor, a 3.4x optical zoom lens, a 2.5" screen, takes 2 AA batteries, face detection focus, and will be available in grey, orange, green, red and blue. It will be available from March priced at £109:

"This camera has features including a 7.1 Megapixel, 1/2.5-inch CCD, DIGIC III Image Processor, 3.4x optical zoom lens and 2.5-inch LCD monitor. It uses two AA batteries to shoot up to approx. 150 images (based on the CIPA standard when the LCD monitor is on), and SD memory cards, SDHC memory cards, MultiMediaCards, MMCplus cards and HC MMCplus cards for the recording media. Images are utilized with a direct print compatible printer, computer and TV via USB. The dimensions (excluding protrusions) of the main body are 104.8 x 55.1 x 40.7 mm (4.1 x 2.2 x 1.6 in.) and the weight is approximately 165 g (5.8 oz.)."
