Canon Powershot A720 IS Review

NeoCamera have reviewed the new 8 megapixel Canon Powershot A720 IS - an update to the A710 and A700 - it features a 6x optical zoom lens with image stabilisation, a 2.5" screen, DIGIC III processor, and ISO upto 1600. The A720 IS is available for £137:

"Image quality is the most important aspect of camera performance and the A720 does very little to disappoint in that area. Its 8 megapixel sensor produces images with below average image noise. Below ISO 400, images are quite clean. Noise starts appearing at ISO 400 but is not significant until ISO 800 for bright subjects and ISO 400 for dark subjects. Compared to most non-Fuji compact cameras, the Canon A720 produces very clean ISO 400 results in good light."
