Fujifilm FinePix S1000fd Hands On at Focus

Fujifilm were showing the new Fujifilm FinePix S1000fd at Focus on Imaging 2008 - shown above with the lens set to telephoto - the new camera is the World's smallest 12x optical zoom lens digital camera - and features a 10 megapixel sensor, manual controls, ISO 1600 at full resolution, and a 2.7" screen. It takes 4 AA batteries and will be available from March:

Perfect for advanced amateur photographers the 10 Megapixel FinePix S1000fd features a versatile Fujinon 12x optical zoom (33mm-396mm equivalent), Face Detection Technology with automatic red-eye removal, ISO levels of up to ISO 1600 at full resolution and ISO 3200 at 3 Megapixel resolution, and a brand new Panoramic Shooting Mode."

The compact rubberised body uses 4 AA batteries, and features digital image stabilisation using high ISO settings. The camera also features a manual pop-up flash.
