Sony Cybershot DSC-T300 Review
DPReview have reviewed the new Sony Cybershot DSC-T300 – an ultra compact 10 megapixel digital camera, it features a 5x optical zoom lens, Advanced Face Detection and Smile Shutter, Dual Anti-blur with Super SteadyShot image stabilisation and High Sensitivity ISO 3200, Intelligent Scene Recognition, and a wide 3.5-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus touchscreen. The T300 is available for £254:
“On the positive side, the T300 has a lot of features that will benefit its target audience. Image stabilization and dynamic range optimization will help produce better photographs for the user that is thinking more about capturing the moment rather than assessing the implications of the scene’s lighting. There are also some useful post-processing effects (In-camera unsharp masking), as well as the flagrantly gimmicky ones (Apply ‘Happy faces’).”
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35 Review
Digital Camera Review have reviewed the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35 – the camera features a wide angle 25mm 4x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilisation, 10 megapixel sensor, and 2.5″ screen. The camera is available for £219 in silver, black and blue:
“The Panasonic’s lens separates itself from the crowd with largely distortion free performance, and the camera itself produces excellent image and color quality with ISO performance that looks to be typical for cameras in the class. Add to that good shutter response and decent flash recycle times, and you’ve got a camera that can more than stand on its own, 25mm lens or not.”

Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS SD1100 IS Review
Trusted Reviews have reviewed the new Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS / PowerShot SD1100 Digital ELPH IS – it features an 8 megapixel sensor, a 2.5″ screen, a 3x optical zoom lens with image stabilisation, face detection focus, an optical viewfinder, and is available in four or five colours (depending on location) priced at £156:
“This is a camera designed to appeal more to the fashion conscious than the connoisseur, and as such it serves its purpose. It’s well made and very attractive, but is at the lower end of the IXUS range in terms of specification, features and price. Image quality is passable but I sometimes feel manufacturers try to impress too much with the gimmicks rather than get the fundamentals right first. ”

Olympus Mju Stylus 1020 Review
DPExpert have reviewed the new Olympus Mju Stylus 1020. It features a 10 megapixel sensor, a 7x optical zoom lens, 2.7″ screen, 23 scene modes, VGA 30fps movie mode, and dual image stabilisation featuring both high ISO settings, and an anti-shake sensor. The camera is available in silver and black, and is also available as the Mju 1010 for £199:
“The camera can, with an ideal setup and in ideal conditions, produce reasonable results. ISO 100 shots are very good. White balance inclines to warm, and saturation is high. Macro and super-macro work well. At a modest focal length resolution is good, but at 260mm image quality drops off.”
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS20 Review
Digital Camera Review have reviewed the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS20 – the camera features a wide angle 30mm 4x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilisation, 10 megapixel sensor, and 3.0″ screen. The cameras is available in silver and black from Amazon:
“If you want as much power as you can get in a compact camera without manual controls, the FS20 delivers. It’s quick enough for everyday shooting in a variety of situations, has enough usable zoom to capture sweeping landscapes and moderate telephoto scenes, and is as well composed as a cheap DSLR in metering complex scenes. Combine this with quick access to all the functions you need and the learning curve with the FS20 is almost nonexistent. In short, the shooting experience is just as simple the name implies: point and shoot.”

Canon Digital IXUS 80 SD1100 IS Review
Digital Camera Review have reviewed the new Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS / PowerShot SD1100 Digital ELPH IS – it features an 8 megapixel sensor, a 2.5″ screen, a 3x optical zoom lens with image stabilisation, face detection focus, an optical viewfinder, and is available in four or five colours (depending on location) priced at £156:
“The SD1100 IS is an impressive digicam when compared to the competition, but it doesn’t fare quite as well when compared to the original SD1000. Where does the SD1100 IS fail to measure up to its illustrious predecessor? Most notably, in the lens: the SD1000′s zoom was sharper, slightly wider, and produced noticeably better quality images and less purple fringing than the SD1100′s version.”

Panasonic Lumix DMX-FX35 Review
CameraLabs have reviewed the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35 – the camera features a wide angle 25mm 4x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilisation, 10 megapixel sensor, and 2.5″ screen. The camera is available for £219 in silver, black and blue:
“With only six months between the FX35 and its predecessor, Panasonic could have simply increased the resolution and improved the auto mode, but we’re pleased to also find a brand new lens with unusually wide angle coverage and HD video recording capabilities. The HD mode may be no replacement for a proper camcorder, but it’s still impressive, while the wider angle lens is a genuine boon in practice.”
