Sigma DP1 Review at Luminous Landscape
Luminous Landscape have published their review of the new Sigma DP1. The Sigma DP1, first shown at Photokina, features the same full size 14 Megapixel Foveon sensor (2652 × 1768 × 3 layers) as featured in the Sigma SD14 Digital SLR, the camera has a 16.6mm lens, equivalent to 28mm, a 2.5″ screen and a pop-up flash. The camera is available for £549 from Amazon:
“The raw image quality of the Sigma DP1 is excellent – truly far and away superior to that of any digicam that i have yet seen or used. Given that the camera uses an almost APS-C sized sensor this should not be all that surprising. Combine this with what appears to be a very high quality lens (Sigma has some small experience in this area) and you have a winning combination.”
