Sigma DP1 Foveon Digital Camera Review

Sigma DP1Prime-Junta have reviewed the new Sigma DP1. The Sigma DP1, first shown at Photokina, features the same full size 14 Megapixel Foveon sensor (2652 × 1768 × 3 layers) as featured in the Sigma SD14 Digital SLR, the camera has a 16.6mm lens, equivalent to 28mm, a 2.5" screen and a pop-up flash. The camera is available for £616 from Amazon:

"The Sigma DP1 represents a direction in digital camera design that I desperately want to succeed. It doesn't attempt to be something for everyone; rather, it is designed for a more narrow mission, and is designed to perform that as well as possible. It combines extremely compact size with a superb 28 mm equivalent, f/4.0 lens, and an APS-C sized, 4.7 million pixel location Foveon X3 sensor."
