Nikon D60 Digital SLR Review
Digital Camera Info have reviewed the new Nikon D60 Digital SLR - an update to the D40x - it features a new dust reduction system, Eye-Sensor, a 10 megapixel sensor, 3fps shooting, takes SD cards, 520 shots battery life, 2.5" screen, however still has the same limitations, in that it doesn't feature exposure braketing, and requires AF-S and AF-I NIKKOR lenses. However, one of the main benefits of the D60 is that it's now available with a new Nikkor AF-S 18-55 DX II VR lens for only £419.
"The VR lens is a big step up from previous inexpensive Nikons, but the competition is selling cameras with anti-shake technology built into the camera body at roughly the same price (including the Sony A200 at $600 and the Pentax K200D at $799). Imaging performance shines when it comes to noise, and the responsiveness while shooting is exceptional for a camera in this class."
