Canon EOS 1000D Rebel XS DSLR Review

Cameralabs have reviewed the new Canon EOS 1000D, it features a 10.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor, Up to 3fps, 7-point wide-area AF, Self-Cleaning Image Sensor, 2.5” LCD with Live View mode, DIGIC III processor, auto lighting optimizer, SD/SDHC card slot. The Canon EOS 1000D is available for pre-order for £429 with IS kit lens, or £384 body only:

"Once you’ve made your peace with these downgrades, it’s easy to like the 1000D / XS. It’s a decent performer and sports all the features most new buyers will look for. The only real problem is its launch price, which at the time of writing in mid-2008 was higher than most rivals, and too close to the 450D / XSi for anyone to seriously consider it."
