Canon EOS 1000DDigital Camera Info have reviewed the new Canon EOS 1000D, it features a 10.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor, Up to 3fps, 7-point wide-area AF, Self-Cleaning Image Sensor, 2.5” LCD with Live View mode, DIGIC III processor, auto lighting optimizer, SD/SDHC card slot. The Canon EOS 1000D is available for pre-order for £403 with IS kit lens, or £351 body only:

“The EOS Rebel XS is Canon’s newest entry-level SLR. Based on the Rebel XSi, it’s marginally cheaper and less powerful, with a resolution of 10 megapixels versus 12 for the XSi, a smaller 2.5” LCD screen. It arrives into an already crowded marketplace, full of affordable, starter SLRs. The XS performed competently in most of our tests, and proved itself able to handle low light situations well, and boasting an impressive dynamic range.”
