DPInterface have reviewed the new ultra compact Olympus Mju Stylus 1040 – it measures 16.5mm thick, has a 3x optical zoom lens, 10 megapixel sensor, 2.7″ screen, face detection, shadow adjustment, perfect shot preview, takes XD and MicroSD, and is be available in silver, red, yellow, and black for £149
“Unfortunately, maybe the Stylus 1040 is too ‘social event’ oriented, in my opinion, that it forgets about other things in life. It lacks full-resolution 10 MP continuous shooting; although that’s compensated with a VERY fast 14 FPS burst mode (only at 3 megapixels, mind you). The below average battery life means you won’t be taking the camera on long holiday trips without an extra battery and the charger.”
