"The Pentax takes the worry out of these situations, and for many users that's going to be worth a few extra dollars compared to a less rugged camera with otherwise similar features. Image quality is adequate if not outstanding, but good enough for the point-and-shoot task at hand. The fact that the camera is a bit slow on the shutter is a greater concern, but compared to no camera at all, you can learn to live with it."
