Canon Powershot G10 vs Nikon Coolpix P6000
Photography BLOG have reviewed the new 14.7 megapixel Canon Powershot G10 and compared it to the Nikon Coolpix P6000. The G10 is an update to the G9 - it features a wide angle 5x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilisation, RAW support, 3" screen, VGA video recording and ISO1600. The Canon G10 is available for £380:
"The Nikon Coolpix P6000 is a good camera, but the Canon PowerShot G10 is better - it's as simple as that. In terms of both features and handling, the G10 has the edge, and it was invariably the camera that I reached for first. The contest would be a lot closer if the P6000's unique features - GPS and LAN connectivity - had actually lived up to expectations, but they are both rather weak in their current implementation."
