Nikon have reviewed the new Nikon D60 Digital SLR – an update to the D40x – it features a new dust reduction system, Eye-Sensor, a 10 megapixel sensor, 3fps shooting, takes SD cards, 520 shots battery life, 2.5″ screen, however still has the same limitations, in that it doesn’t feature exposure braketing, and requires AF-S and AF-I NIKKOR lenses. However, one of the main benefits of the D60 is that it’s now available with a new Nikkor AF-S 18-55 DX II VR lens for only £329.

“While advertising campaigns tend to exagerate the merits of the products they tout, Nikon’s campaign around its D60 digital SLR is right on target when it conveys how easy it is to take great pictures with this camera. It has excellent optics and its exposure and focusing systems insure that even newcomers to the mirrorshooter fold can snap high quality images with a minimum of effort.”
