Panasonic FS25Photography BLOG have reviewed the new Panasonic Lumix FS25 – it features a 29mm Wide-angle 5x Optical Zoom lens, 3″ screen, 12 megapixel sensor, and intelligent auto mode:

“Despite the recent economic turmoil and increases in photography equipment prices, the Panasonic FS25 is the same price at launch as the previous FS20 model (at least at the time of writing). Therefore it again represents great value, offering many of the stand-out features of the premium FX series at a lower introductory price point.”

Samsung NV34HDMegapixel.net have reviewed the new 14.7 megapixel digital camera called the NV100HD / TL34HD, with a wide angle 3.6x optical zoom lens, and 3″ touch screen. The NV100HD is available for £169

“The quality of images shot with the TL34 were a mixed bag. Outdoor performance was better than indoor performance. Shooting with the built-in flash yielded a variety of results from good images to ones that were washed out. Noise was a problem with indoor photos as well as with images captured at light sensitivity settings over 400.”

“The Casio Exilim EX-Z85 is a very small, pocket digital camera. It has 9 megapixels and a 3x optical zoom lens. It has a fairly basic feature set, but this does include a couple of different features such as a You Tube upload mode and a setting that will automatically fire off a shot when it detects someone is smiling.”

Canon SX1 ISCameralabs have reviewed the new 10 megapixel Canon Powershot SX1 IS – it features a wide angle 20x optical zoom lens, optical image stabilisation, ISO1600, a 10 megapixel CMOS sensor which allows HD video recording (1080p), 4fps shooting, HD out, swivel 2.8″ screen. The camera is available for £399

“Canon’s PowerShot SX1 IS has justifiably become one of the most talked-about super-zoom cameras on the market today. It takes the already capable PowerShot SX10 IS with its powerful 20x zoom and articulated screen, but swaps the sensor for a CMOS version which can deliver both HD video recording and fast continuous shooting. As such, the SX1 IS becomes the latest and arguably one of the best hybrid cameras to date, delivering 10 Megapixel stills at up to 4fps with a decent degree of manual control, along with Full HD video in the 1080p format.”

Panasonic FS7Trusted Reviews have reviewed the new Panasonic Lumix FS7 – a compact 10 megapixel digital camera with a 4x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilisation, 2.7″ screen and lithium ion battery. The camera will be available in black, silver, and pink from February:

“Panasonic has a well-earned reputation for making very good but very expensive high-performance compacts, but with the FS7 it has proven that it can bring the same level of quality to the mid-price market. It offers superb build quality, stylish and ergonomic design, ease of use and acceptably quick performance, combined with excellent image quality. If you are looking for a sub-£200 ultra-compact, then the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS7 should be near the top of your shortlist.”

Panasonic Lumix LS80 Review

Panasonic LS80DPInterface have reviewed the new Panasonic Lumic DMC-LS80 – a budget 8 megapixel digital camera with a 4x optical zoom lens with Mega Optical Image Stabilisation, ISO upto 1600, and a 2.5″ screen. The camera is available for £75

“The Panasonic Lumix LS80 is a basic entry-level camera with 8 megapixels, 3X optical zoom and a 2.5 inch LCD. The LCD is very usable and the lens which starts at 33 mm is a small but useful plus. The LS80’s plastic build is not flimsy but I did find that memory card door not very sturdy and it doesn’t open up wide, making it hard to swap memory cards. There’s no speaker here either, means you can record movies with sound but only hear it later on your computer.”
