Nikon D3000Nikon has announced the new Nikon D3000 – an update to the D60 – it features a 10 megapixel sensor, 3fps shooting, 11 point focus, 3″ LCD, SD support, new Guide mode, and ISO 100-1600. The Nikon D3000 will be available for £499 with VR kit lens.

Nikon D300sNikon has announced the new Nikon D300s – an update to the D300 – it features a 12.3 megapixel sensor, 7fps shooting, 3″ LCD, CF and SD support, live view, HD Video recording, and ISO 200-3200. The D300s will be available from Amazon

Olympus E-P1

DPReview have published their review of the new Olympus PEN E-P1 – a DSLR that fits in your pocket – you can find out how it performed in our review, and our sample photo gallery.

The E-P1 is the world’s smallest digital camera with changeable lens, it features the same size sensor as other Olympus Digital SLRs (meaning much better image quality with all the low-noise benefits of a DSLR), but with a camera body and lens size much more in like with a compact point and shoot. It is available with a 17mm lens (34mm equivalent, with viewfinder £749), and 14-42mm 3x zoom lens (28 – 84mm equivalent, £699). It’s also available with both lenses for £849 for the 14-42mm Black & 17mm Silver Pancake Lenses & VF-1 External Optical View Finder Kit with Silver body. The camera features dust reduction, a 12.3 megapixel live view sensor, 720p video recording (1280×720) with stereo sound and HDMI out, anti-shake sensor, 3″ screen, 3fps shooting, SDHC support, and ISO100 – 6400.

Sony Alpha A380

Photography BLOG has reviewed the new Sony Alpha A380 Digital SLR – an update to the A350 – it features a 14 megapixel sensor, 2.7″ live-view tilting screen, on screen help guide, ISO3200, SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilization, 2.5fps shooting, D-Range Optimizer, Sony Memory Stick slot, plus SD / SDHC card support. The Sony A380 is available for £609 with kit lens.

“When you marry a sensor with a high pixel count to a standard kit lens there’s always a question mark over whether the combination is truly capable of resolving all those self same pixels. For us, though there are plenty of subtleties of tone across the images from the Sony A380, occasionally they could do with being a tad sharper.”

Kodak M341Kodak has also announced the new KODAK EASYSHARE M341 Digital Camera, featuring Smart Capture, 12MP sensor, 3x optical zoom, and 2.7” LCD, and Easy uploading of pictures and video directly to YouTube™ or KODAK Gallery via the “Share” button and KODAK EASYSHARE Software. Available in Grey Silver, Classic Kodak Red, Satin Black and Deep Orchid, and retailing at £119.99 RRP from August, 2009.

Kodak M381Kodak has announced the new KODAK EASYSHARE M381, a compact 12mp Digital Camera, with a 5X optical zoom lens, 3.0″ LCD, Easy upload to Facebook, YouTube™ or Kodak Gallery, Face detection, Blur reduction, and ISO1600, it will be available in Black Olive, Light Steel Blue and Wine Red for £129.99 from September, 2009.

Kodak Z950Kodak has announced the new Kodak Easyshare Z950 it features a 10x optical zoom lens with image stabilisation, 12 MP sensor, 3″ LCD, Smart Capture feature, fast click-to-capture speed (<0.3 seconds), HD picture and video capture, Includes Li-ion rechargeable batteries, Face detection, High ISO up to 3200, SDHC/SD card, and will be available in September, priced at £199

Panasonic Lumix FZ35

Panasonic has announced the new Panasonic Lumix FZ35 / FZ38 – the new camera features a 27mm wide angle 18x optical zoom lens (27 – 486mm), new Power Optical Image Stabilisation (O.I.S.), ultra high-speed start-up of approx. 1.2 seconds, a 2.7″ screen, HD 720p Video at 30fps, 12 megapixel sensor, and manual operation. The camera will be available in black from September, for £269.
