Canon Powershot S95 Announced
Canon has announced the new Canon Powershot S95 – an update to the S90 – it features the HS System and f/2 3.8x optical zoom lens, a High-sensitivity 10.0 MP CCD, 28 mm wide angle, Hybrid IS, Lens Control Ring, Full Manual and RAW, 3″ screen, 720p HD movies, High Dynamic Range mode, Smart Auto, Multi-Aspect Shooting, and ISO3200. Canon has published some sample photos.

Canon Powershot SD4500 IS IXUS 1000 HS Announced
Canon has announced the new Canon Powershot SD4500 IS / Digital IXUS 1000 HS – a compact camera with a 10x optical zoom lens (36-360mm), optical image stabilisation, 3″ screen, 10 megapixel back illuminated sensor, full HD video recording (1920×1080), as well as a 240fps video mode, 8.8fps shooting (at 2.5mp), 1cm macro, ISO3200, the metal bodied camera will be available in silver, brown and pink.

Canon Powershot SX130 IS Announced
Canon has announced the new Canon Powershot SX130 IS – and update to the SX120 IS – it features a new 12x Wide-Angle Optical Zoom lens (28mm), 12.1 megapixel CCD sensor, ISO1600, optical image stabilisation, smart auto, 3″ screen, 720p HD video with stereo sound, manual shooting modes, including manual focus, and takes AA batteries.

Fujifilm FinePix Read 3D W3 Announced
Fujifilm has announced the new Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W3, an update to the W1, it features dual 10MP CCD sensors and twin 3x optical zoom lenses, a high resolution 3.5″ 3D LCD (doesn’t need glasses), a new Auto 3D mode, 720p 3D video with stereo sound, and ISO1600.
“While smaller and lighter than the original model, the FinePix W3 adds a bigger and better quality screen, an Auto 3D mode, stereo sound recording and the unique ability to shoot video in Real 3D in High Definition, with live or recorded playback via direct connection to any 3D TV – using an HDMI mini-cable (hi-speed type) 1.4 cable.”
Nikon Coolpix S1100pj Announced
Nikon has announced the new Nikon Coolpix S1100pj – it features a built in projector, 14 megapixel sensor, wide angle 5x optical zoom lens (28mm), 3″ touch screen, 720p video recording, optical image stabilisation, and a compact metal body available in silver, black, green, and purple.

Nikon has announced the new Nikon Coolpix S5100, it features a 12 megapixel sensor, wide angle 5x optical zoom lens with image stabilisation, 2.7″ screen, 720p video recording, 200 shot battery life and it’s available in Black, Pink, Purple, and Blue.

Samsung PL90 Announced with USB
Samsung has announced the new Samsung PL90 – a compact camera with almost wide angle 4x optical zoom lens (29-116mm), built in USB, 640×480 (30fps) video, 2.7″ screen, 12.2 megapixel sensor, smart auto mode, and a budget price of $149 / £129, although I’d expect that to drop to the £99 price range… weight so far unknown. Do USB ports have a recommended weight for items plugged in?

Casio has announced the new Casio Exilim S200, and Z800, both compact 14 megapixel cameras, with a wide angle 27mm 4x optical zoom lens 2.7″ screen, lithium-ion batteries, 720p 20fps video, and anti-shake CCD sensor, with both available at the beginning of September 2010. The S200 shown above comes in black, silver, orange, blue and pink.
“The EXILIM Card EX-S200 is a slim, high-quality, card-sized camera that is just 17.8 mm thick and only 14.9 mm at its thinnest part, while the EXILIM Zoom EX-Z800 is compact enough to fit in the palm of the hand.
