  1. Brian Blackbeard says:

Perhaps someone will know the answer to this question. I emailed Kodak to find out if the z990 has “Macro”. The answer I got back was because it is not one the market yet, they would not not answer the question. The one website on the specs of the z990 says, “Macro fucus range”: nothing.

  2. Tom Sellet says:

You refer to the Z990 as a 30X zoom, and say that the maximum focal length is 676mm, whereas the writing on the front of the lens indicates that it goes out to 840mm. I reported this to Kodak back in January, when the first press releases of this camera came out. Maybe their public relations department really is that slow that they have not found the time to address this misrepresentation, but I am hard pressed to know why this problem still exists. Is it a question of competive marketing?

  4. I would like to know if the Z990 has a peep view finder or if there is a way
to adjust the back view finder when using in bright sunlight.

Also where is the zoom button.
I am interested in purchasing this camera, but need these fact before
    ordering.
Thank you for reponding promptly, so I can get my order in soon.
I would like to see this in a store, but have been unable to find a store that
has it on the shelf so I can see it hands on.
