Olympus has announced the new Olympus PEN E-PL2 Micro Four Thirds camera – it features a new live guide for moveis, new design available in red, silver, black and white, with new body grip, updated 3″ 460k pixel screen, a new “live wheel” (control wheel on the back), new 14-42mm Zoom II lens (designed to be quicker and quieter for videos), and the ability to mix art filters. The E-PL2 also features a new accessory port 2 (backwards compatible with earlier accessories), the new port supports new accessories such as the Macro Arm Light, and “PENpal” blue-tooth module.

Panasonic has announced the new Panasonic Lumix FS35 (shown above), and the Panasonic Lumix FS37 (below), both cameras feature a 16.1 megapixel sensor, wide angle 8x optical zoom lens (28-224mm), optical image stabilisation, 720p HD video at 24fps, intelligent auto, 250 shot battery life, lithium ion battery, SD / SDHC / SDXC support, and AF tracking. The Panasonic Lumix FS35 features a 2.7″ screen, and will be available in black, silver, red and violet. Panasonic has announced two new budget cameras, the Panasonic Lumix S1 and Panasonic Lumix S3, as part of a new line of budget “S” series cameras. Both cameras feature a wide angle 4x optical zoom lens (28mm), optical image stabilisation, 720p video recording, intelligent Auto mode, LUMIX Image Uploader, 2.7″ screen, 250 shot lithium ion battery and 2fps shooting. The Panasonic Lumix S1, available in black only, features a 12.1 megapixel sensor, while the S3 features a 14.1 megapixel sensor and is available in black, white, red, purple, and pink (shown below).

Kodak has announced the new Kodak Easyshare MAX (Z990), it features a 12mp BSI (back side illumination) CMOS sensor, wide angle 30x optical zoom lens (f/2.8, 28–840 mm), optical image stabilisation, 3.0″ HVGA screen, 1080p HD video recording at 30fps, stereo mic, HDR mode, manual modes, face detection, histogram display, 360 panoramic mode, ISO64-6400 (12800 at 3.1mp), EVF, high speed burst mode 120 fps @ 1 MP (max 40), and takes Ni-MH AA batteries (provided).

Update: ePHOTOzine has published the first preview of the Kodak Easyshare Max Z990, and the camera is available to order from Amazon UK for £299.
