Nikon D5100 Digital SLR Presentation

Nikon has announced the new Nikon D5100 Digital SLR – an update to the D5000 – it features a 16.2 megapixel CMOS sensor, as featured in the D7000, Full HD video at 30/25/24fps, a large 3″ swivel screen, and new compact body. It will be available on the 21st of April priced at £669 body only or £779 with VR kit lens. Nikon also announced a new stereo microphone designed for Digital SLRs, called the Nikon ME-1.     2. This seems like an excellent mid-range camera for those more serious about photography (not just the hobbyist) but don’t have the money for a higher-end camera. It also offers ok video for being a DSLR that should be more than enough for most unless you’re a popular YouTube partner :)

    3. Only “OK” video? Surely Full HD at 30/25/24 H.264 Mov is the best you can get in any DSLR currently? :)
