The Olympus PEN Lite E-PL3 sits in the middle of the new line-up of Olympus PEN Micro Four Thirds cameras, and features a 12.1 megapixel sensor, 5.5fps continuous shooting, 3 inch tilting screen, Full HD video with stereo sound, anti-shake sensor, external pop up flash, and ISO200 to ISO12800. The Olympus PEN Lite E-PL3 is available from £491 with kit lens.

The camera features a 12.1 megapixel sensor, 5.5fps shooting, 3 inch 16:9 screen, 6 art filters, anti-shake sensor, and full HD video with stereo sound. The Olympus PEN Mini E-PM1 is available for £429 with kit lens.

Olympus VG-130

ePHOTOzine has reviewed the new Olympua VG-130 (aka D715 at ASDA), it’s a bit of a bargain, available from £67 from Amazon UK, in Silver, Black, Pink or Red. It also has a 2 year warranty. Here’s what they had to say:

“With the VG-130 having been available since the start of the year, the price has dropped to a point where this camera can be considered quite a bargain. It has a full metal body and is capable of taking pictures with both good colour reproduction and detail.”

nikon1-camerasNikon has announced the new 1 Series “Mirrorless” compact system cameras, with 2 bodies, one with EVF the V1, one without the J1, and four new lenses. The cameras feature a new 10 megapixel Nikon 1inch sensor, 60fps shooting at full resolution, Full HD video, stereo sound, 3 inch screen, and a number of body colours and accessories.

Canon Powershot SX40 HS
Canon has announced the Canon Powershot SX40 HS – an ultra zoom with a 35x optical zoom lens, 12 megapixel backlit CMOS sensor, image stabilisation, 2.7inch tilting/swivelling screen, Full HD video, 10fps high speed continuous shooting, and DIGIC 5 processor. The camera will be available in October priced at £459, and can be pre-ordered from Amazon UK.

Kodak has announced a number of new cameras, including some that just appeared on the internet without any (official) announcement.

Ricoh GR Digital IV White
Ricoh has announced the new Ricoh GR Digital IV – the camera features hybrid AF, image stabilisation, f/1.9 lens, a 1.23 million dot 3 inch screen (new Sony “WhiteMagic” screen with white dots in addition to RGB), 10 megapixel sensor, new processing engine, and it will be available in black, or a limited edition white version (as shown). Canon Powershot S100 Black
Canon has announced the new Canon Powershot S100 – an update to the Canon Powershot S95 – it features a new wide angle 5x optical zoom lens (f/2.0, 24mm), 12 megapixel CMOS sensor, 3inch screen, full HD video, GPS, and shoots at 9.6 fps. The camera will be available in silver or black, and features an improved grip. The Canon Powershot S100 is available for pre-order from Amazon UK for £439. (via ePHOTOzine)

Sony NEX-C3
ePHOTOzine has reviewed the new Sony NEX-C3 – a 16 megapixel mirrorless camera with an APS-C sensor, 720p video recording, and compact body. The camera is available for £406 from Amazon UK with 18-55mm kit lens, and the camera scores “Highly Recommended” however, alternative cameras often feature full HD.
