Nokia N8
Nokia N8 – The Nokia N8 made a big splash when it was announced due to it’s 12 megapixel 1/1.83″ (1.75 micron pixels) digital camera sized sensor, and 28mm f/2.8 carl zeiss lens. This is similar in size to those that you’d find in serious compact digital cameras.

Canon Digital IXUS 95 ISCanon Digital IXUS 95 IS – Available in Silver, Pink, Blue, and Grey, the Canon Digital IXUS 95 IS (aka SD1200 IS) is a compact camera that features a 10 megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom lens, 2.5″ screen, and optical image stabilisation. It’s also one of the smallest cameras available with an optical viewfinder – although due to it’s compact size it’s usefulness may be limited. Announced on the 18th February 2009 the camera is now available for considerably less than the original price, and is often found on special offer. Recommended (21/11/2010)

Ricoh CX4Ricoh CX4 – Ricoh’s latest compact camera in a long line of compact cameras, which started with the Ricoh CX1 (9mp CMOS sensor, 7.1x optical zoom lens), Ricoh CX2 (10.7x optical zoom lens), Ricoh CX3 (10mp update), and now the Ricoh CX4, which adds improved image stabilisation, new creative modes, a new night shot mode, subject tracking AF, and improved battery life. Fuji Z33wpFujifilm FinePix Z33WP – an ultra compact waterproof camera with a 10 megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom lens and 2.7″ screen, the camera is available in numerous colours: black, blue, gold, pink and green, for £88 (in black) and takes SD cards (It may even be available for less from the Fuji Refurb shop) and is one of the cheapest all-in-one waterproof cameras – but is it any good? Samsung ES15Samsung ES15 – one of the cheapest digital cameras available with a REAL optical zoom lens, and currently undercuts most other manufacturers by roughly £20, priced at only £49-59. Occassionally it’s even been on special offer for only £39. This makes it amazing value for money, but price isn’t the only thing we need to look at, especially from our experience with with other budget cameras. Find out how it performs in our review. Samsung ST550Samsung ST550 (aka TL225) features dual LCDs – a touch screen at the back, and a 1.5″ screen at the front for self-portraits etc. The ST550 features a high resolution 3.5″ 1,152k pixel touch screen, a 12 megapixel sensor, a wide angle 4.6x optical zoom lens (27mm – 124mm), 720p HD video recording, optical image stabilisation, and 18.9mm thin body. Ricoh CX3Ricoh CX3 – an update to the Ricoh CX2 – it features a new 10 megapixel back-lit CMOS sensor, 720p HD video mode, 16:9 aspect ratio, new Pet scene mode, Auto-Scenes, Noise reduction options (from the GR DIGITAL III), Face priority focus, and the same specifications as the CX2, such as 5fps shooting, wide angle 10.7x optical zoom lens (28mm – 300mm), 3″ 920k pixel screen, image stabilisation, Dynamic Range shooting, electronic level, AF bracketing. Fuji F200EXRFujifilm FinePix F200EXR – an update to the F100fd – it features a new 12 megapixel Super CCD EXR sensor that provides high resolution (at 12mp), high dynamic range (at 6mp), and high sensitivity with low noise (upto ISO6400 at 6mp). The camera features a wide angle 5x optical zoom lens, manual controls, anti shake sensor, 3″ screen, SD/XD card support, and compact body available in silver or black in for £215. It packs an impressive wide-angle 8x optical zoom lens (28-224mm in 35mm equiv.) into a compact body, and features a 14.1 megapixel sensor, optical image stabilisation, HD video, SDXC support, lithium-ion rechargeable battery, and face detection. Legocam SmallLego Digital Camera (by Blue) features a 3 megapixel sensor, 1.5″ screen, and flash. The camera has a built in rechargeable battery that charges through a USB cable – and 128mb 32mb of built in memory that will store upto 80 photos, although our testing found it was more like 65 – 75 photos, and there is no video mode available. Vivitar Vivicam V8225Vivitar Vivicam V8225 – the camera specification looks quite promising, especially as the camera is available from £40-£50, it features an 8 megapixel sensor, 2x optical zoom lens (apparently), 2.4″ screen, lithium ion battery, SD/SDHC support, and VGA video mode (without sound), but is it any good?
