Nikon D90 Digital SLR with Video Announced

Nikon D90Nikon have announced the new 12.3 megapixel Nikon D90 Digital SLR - the camera features a 3" screen, live view, 720p High Definition video recording, ISO upto 6400, 11 point AF, and 4.5fps shooting. The D90 will be available in the US from September 2008 at an MSRP of $999.95 for body only and $1299.95 for body and new AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens.

Canon EOS 50D Digital SLR Announced

Canon EOS 50DCanon have announced the new Canon EOS 50D Digital SLR - an update to the 40D - it features a new 15.1 megapixel sensor, 6.3fps shooting, Canon’s latest DIGIC 4 image processor, ISO upto 12800, 3" screen with live view, sensor cleaning, 9 point AF, and face detection. Body only will be available from end of September 2008 priced at £1199.99:

Olympus have announced the new Olympus Mju Stylus 1050SW - the ultra compact 10 megapixel camera is waterproof to 3m, shockproof to 1.5m, freezeproof to -10c, and features a 3x optical zoom lens, face detection, shadow adjustment, perfect shot preview, and 2.7" screen. The DSC-T77 camera replaces the former T70 model and will be available in brown, green, pink, black and silver in late September for about $300.

Micro Four Thirds System LogoPanasonic and Olympus have announced a revolutionary new camera system that will enable Digital SLR quality photos to be taken with compact cameras with interchangeable lenses. The new system removes the standard mirror box in a Digital SLR, allows the use of new Micro Four Thirds lenses, and Olympus lenses with an adapter, and should provide video recording in the future:

" Olympus Imaging Corporation (Olympus Imaging) and Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. Panasonic FX37Panasonic have announced the new ultra compact Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX37 - and update to the FX35 - key features are a 25mm Ultra-Wide-Angle* 5x Optical Zoom Lens (*35mm equivalent: 25-125mm), in Sleek, Super-Slim Profile, 10.1-megapixel sensor, Featuring Advanced Intelligent Auto Mode, Mega optical image stabilisation, 1280 x 720p motion video at 30 fps, and a 2.5" screen. Samsung NV34HDSamsung have announced 5 new digital cameras today - including a new 14.7 megapixel digital camera called the NV100HD / TL34HD. The TL9 / NV9 features a battery and memory card "empty / full" meters. Although they haven't yet updated their website - so there's no information there about them. Nikon D700Nikon have announced the new FX-format digital SLR Nikon D700 - a 12 megapixel full frame sensor Digital SLR with live view, ISO 200 to 6400, 5fps shooting, sensor cleaning, a 3" VGA screen and more. It will be available in July:
