"I guess it was always going to be a big ask, but the Sony DSC T77 does not quite match up to the style and looks when it comes to picture quality. You will still be able to take good snapshots with the camera, but you will also find situations where it will struggle compared to the best pocket cameras."

Add Canon's Face Detection and Motion Detection technology, all handled by the company's premier DIGIC III image processor, and even what you don't see is impressive. Like all compact digicams it suffers from slightly noticeable corner softening and chromatic aberration at wide angle. But that's forgivable."

The below average battery life means you won't be taking the camera on long holiday trips without an extra battery and the charger."
