Panasonic Lumix TZ10 (ZS7) Pocket Zoom Announced

Panasonic has announced the new Panasonic Lumix TZ10 / ZS7 - it features a metal body available in a number of colours (red, black, blue, silver, depending on location), and has a 25mm 12x optical zoom lens (25 - 300mm), GPS, 12 megapixel sensor, 3" 460k screen, 720p video with stereo sound, and optical image stabilisation. The TZ10 is available for £349:

"With a strong heritage, this fourth generation TZ model features a high-quality LEICA DC VARIO ELMAR 25mm ultra-wide-angle lens with a 12x optical zoom. A high quality lens like this, with a range from 25mm to 300mm (1), is almost inconceivable in such a small, lightweight camera. Comprising 10 elements in 8 groups, including 2 ED lenses and 2 aspherical lenses with 3 aspherical surfaces, and utilizing new lens material in its design, this advanced lens unit realizes the outstandingly slim and compact body while passing Leica's stringent standards to deliver exceptional optical performance. Vivitar Vivicam VF540 GPS Camera Announced

Vivitar has announced the new Vivitar Vivicam VF540 - it features a 14.1 megapixel sensor, 3.0" touch screen, 5x optical zoom, face detection, GPS tagging, and takes lithium ion battieres:

"Vivitar’s innovative VF540 camera incorporates 14.1 Megapixels and GPS capabilities that link to Vivitar geo-tagging software. The model is loaded with a 3.0" full touch panel screen, 5X optical zoom, face detection and anti-shake with a USB connection. With lithium ion battery included, the VF530 has an SRP of $199."

"Additional new models include the ViviCam V5016, V7022, V7024, VX025, VX029, VT027, VT030, VT324N, VT528, VT529, a variety of 5-14 megapixel cameras. Cameras are available in a new range of colors including: Graphite, Strawberry, Gold, Cranberry, Black, Beautyberry, Silver, Blueberry, Kiwi and Grape."

Sony Cybershot HX5 Pocket Zoom Announced

Sony has announced the new Sony Cybershot HX5 - the camera supports both Memory Stick PRO Duo and SD/SDHC memory cards - the camera features a 10mp Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensor, a wide angle 10x optical zoom lens (25-250mm), optical image stabilisation, 3.0" screen, 1080p HD video, Auto HDR, Intelligent Sweep Panorama, Compass and GPS, the camera will be available in black and gold:
