Nikon D5200 DSLR LargeNikon has announced the new Nikon D5200 Digital SLR – with a 24.1 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor it sits above the “entry level” D3200/D3100, and could be a good choice for anyone looking for a serious but affordable Digital SLR (like the Canon EOS 600/650D). It features full HD video recording, 5fps continuous shooting mode, HDR, multiple exposure, a 3 inch tilting swivelling screen and will be available in December for £719 body only, or £819 with 18-55mm VR kit lens. It’s also got an updated graphical interface, and will be available in black, red or bronze.

Canon EOS 650D
The Canon EOS 650D DSLR has been reviewed at ePHOTOzine as an in-depth 650D review, as well as a 650D user review, the Canon EOS 650D is the latest “entry” to “mid-level” Digital SLR from Canon, and features Full HD video, a swivelling touch screen, hybrid AF designed for better video AF and an 18megapixel sensor. The Canon EOS 650D is available for £613 with kit lens from Amazon UK, and while the auto focus (AF) during videos isn’t as good as it should be, at least it’s a start, perhaps they’ll make it much better on the new model, which no doubt will be called the Canon EOS 700D.

More reviews can be found at: TechDigit (3.5 out of 5 – warning fly close up), Gizmodo AU (says video AF is poor), Photography BLOG (mostly positive), Pocket-Lint (a few blips).
